listening to music in a language other than your native one is ok, and honestly really fun. you get to experience different culture’s music styles, and people can break the language barrier between them and unite under one love: music. but there’s one problem i have with this. i’m so tired of people listening to music and not doing ANY research behind the meaning of the song. there have been COUNTLESS times ive seen people post a project with background music, and the background music is extremely inappropriate but “oh its a happy tune ik i dont understand it at all but because it happy tune = appropriate!!!!!!!” and i get it if you miss like one swear or something like that like im not some security guy thats gonna throw you in prison if you cant tell me word for word what the song is about but can we at least just do a quick search to see if the song is actually appropriate. im just gonna give one example: (im not gonna say song name nor artist to prevent people actively hunting the song down LMHOO) theres this one popular vocaloid artist, and hes known for creating unique songs tackling tough-to-talk-about topics under a familiar voice. HOWEVER, there is this ONE song that is VERY VERY VERY INAPPROPRIATE AND I SEE SO MANY PEOPLE USING IT AND ITS SO BAD ✌️ like i understand if you like the artist and dont like a specific song (i do too!). some artists make songs that aren’t for everyone and its ok if you dont like that song yk. like if your favorite artist creates a song with some swears and you dont like THAT song but you like the artist, thats ok! i get it! BUT WHY DO YOU HAVE TO USE THAT SPECIFIC SONG idk im just seeing people not wanna do research and just post some art with a HORRIBLE song in the background listen to what you want, but PLEASE make sure its appropriate before you post it on a CHILDRENS CODING WEBSITE ya
