GASI has created the Zalbitz line, a line of fortifications designed to prevent a pre-emptive strike by the Cobalt Pact. While the GASI fleet is already more than enough to handle a likely pathetic Cobalt invasion, this line will ensure that the invasion doesn't even make it past the first system. The line spans across the hostile borders of GASI's colonies, including neutral territory which an invasion may be staged from. Among the defenses is GASI's newest defense station, which features a deadly Heavy Radon Phaser, designed to punch through shields and annihilate even the most well defended ships. This station also features several railgun installations and smaller Helium Phasers. The stations also bear flak turrets and laser PDCs. To top it all off, there are thirty-two missile ports and GASI's feared NCI missile ports, two per station. These stations are around planets and shipyards, while rigid defenses are obsolete, we can still defend key points of interest to the enemy. The defenses also include hangar stations, which can house and deploy strike ships to intercept enemy fleets while the main forces are rendezvousing with the enemy. With GASI's FTL recon, a potential Cobalt invasion would likely be thwarted in the beginning stages, and even if it did survive long enough to make it to the frontlines would be torn to pieces by GASI defenders.
