These marks are what some of the characters are affected with. Keep this as a reference if needed. Clouded (successful mark) The characters affected by this could be controlled by The Guardian at any point. If one were to be controlled by her, they would usually have a blank expression. It has been confirmed that The Guardian has raised the death counts of some by doing this. Gashed (failed mark variant 1) Those affected by this will slowly be exposed to death in a brutal manner. Parts of their bodies will darken due to toxic buildup over time. The darker the area, the more infected the area is and the more painful it is. Eventually, the areas of toxic buildup will rupture and the character will die from it. This mark lasts upon rebirth. Destroyed (failed mark variant 2) Those affected by this will fall asleep for long periods of time, only having a very short time to actually be awake. Over time, eye marks slowly appear on the body, but in every case documented there is always a big one on the forehead. Coincidently, those that have this condition tend to have very lucid dreams. Flowered (failed mark variant 3) Those affected by this one will have flowerbuds form beneath the skin. When the flowers finally bloom, they will rupture from the skin rapidly. The flowers will slowly sap the energy from the body, causing the character affected by this ailment to eventually die from it if they aren't removed. This mark lasts upon rebirth.
