It was February 13th and snowing hard. Max Guy still had to go to school though. He was bored throughout the whole school day because nothing interesting had happened in his school in weeks. About an hour before the school day ended he had gym. 2:00 pm: gym started around this time and it was still boring so he went to the hallway to refresh his mind. At around this time the school had a power outage. But he didn't really care. He started thinking about random things but as he did he concentrated really hard. His hands started to glow with a blue an purple light. He was amazed! But then, his hands started to feel hot and shot out a purple beam. This scared him so he jumped back startled! After a few seconds the glowing stopped and the power came back on. School ended so he went back home. Max mentioned nothing about this to his parents or siblings. every day since then he tried again. On the second day it already felt natural. Later in June, he was at home when the news said that the Star Academy fell victim of arson and the culprit had not been found. Find out what happens to Max in Chapter 2.
