I told myself that I can be independent and be able to rise above. I told myself that the sun may rise again, engulfing me in its blinding beauty. But that’s wrong. It’s all just lies from myself, all a deception, a charade made for the self. I’m just deceiving myself again. I can’t go onwards. It's too exhausting. I can try, but it feels so pointless and agonising when I do. If my friends and family are gone, I can never rise above. I am unable to. I need help, more help from others. The sun may rise, but it will be so long, so long, till it does. Fine. I’ll admit to myself. I am weak. I am selfish. And I am scared. Very scared. So, so, afraid. Scared of the night. Scared of this almost eternal darkness. The lack of sunlight, the permanence of the moon, and night, and the void. The fact that it'll engulf me whole, make me disintegrate and be forgotten for eternity, even as I am still unknown. I’m horrified by that fact. I can’t fight it. I need, I need assistance. Yes, I want to stay in the past again. At least feel it one more time, or longer. Stay in the brilliant sunlight. In the beautiful, mesmerising glow of dawn. Look at me. Just look at me. What am I? In the end, just like an insect, I’m insignificant. Unable to succeed in anything. Not strength, not appearance, not intelligence, not creativity, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Even if I did succeed though, what would it do? It’s probably temporary. A fleeting moment. Both for me and others. How incompetent I am. How slothful I am. How many things I can’t do. I can’t see. I can’t listen. I can’t even move. Just like how the moon and the stars and the void will freeze like glaciers for this long, long night. I’d even say I’m a vermin to some. I’m not just weak, I am an irritating thing. An annoying thing. Spreading negativity, spreading anger and hatred. No. That’s not it. Maybe not, at least. That’s just not right. It just doesn't feel like the word. What is it? What am... I? I am... Well, I’m random. Random. Yes, yes. That sounds nice. A random guy. Just some... Random guy. Just some random guy. Yes. Yes. Yes. That’s a rather perfect name. What a hilarious name, what a stupid name, such a weird and ironic time to come up with something like this. In this darkness, consumed in eerie moonlight. In this long, long, night. I’m just some random guy. Just some random guy.” Credits to tricky tony for the music
