"If creation sings Your praise, so will I." These words point to a truth found throughout Scripture: everything that God has made exists for His glory. "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." (Psalm 19:1) Creation has never stopped bearing witness to its Creator. The sun rises according to His command. The stars remain in their places because He upholds them. The sea stays within the limits He has set. The seasons come and go in the order He established. Every part of creation speaks of His wisdom, power, and faithfulness. Nothing exists by chance. "For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth... all things were created through Him and for Him." (Colossians 1:16) Everything exists for Him. That is the purpose of creation. God's glory is not one purpose among many - it is the reason all things were made. Yet creation does more than display beauty. It points beyond itself to the Creator. "For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived... in the things that have been made." (Romans 1:20) Every mountain, every river, every flower, and every star quietly declares that there is a God who is eternal, wise, and worthy of praise. Even in a world affected by sin, creation continues to proclaim His glory. One day, when Christ returns, creation itself will be set free from the curse and made new (Romans 8:19–21). Until that day, the witness of creation does not cease. The Westminster Shorter Catechism begins with these well-known words: "Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever." If the heavens declare His glory... If the earth displays His handiwork... If all creation exists for His praise... Then every life should do the same. "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen." (Romans 11:36) Soli Deo Gloria.
