Wait for anim “Booster ignition…” Daedalus Space Program Mission Two Icarus 2 is intended to experiment with the new systems in an environment with live crew. The Mothronite systems have been completely tuned to work alongside Tundran systems (includes the ones found in some Galaxian ships). In an extremely surprising turn of events, the TSA turned to the HITS vehicle for the Daedalus Program. This was because the previous ITV was seen as too heavy for future foreseeable uses. The old ITV will be in storage and moved to a museum in 2050. The crew in Mission Two used a retrofitted refueling HITS as the current crewed version, the LLS, doesn’t have heat shields. Icarus 2 launched and orbited Erthe in a free-return trajectory for a total of 12 days. Icarus 2 is a success. Crew Names: Pilot - James Arnold Commander - Gregory Torres Mission Specialists - Lucia Garcia, Tomas Hilton Mission One Recap Icarus 1’s primary objective was to test out the systems developed by Novatics/TSA/Aperture and Mothron used in Icarus 1. Icarus 1 sought to test if Mothronite systems could be integrated with the ITV. To prepare the sharing of tech between older systems. Icarus 1 autonomously launched and orbited Erthe and the moon in a free-return trajectory for a total of 12 days. Icarus 1 performed well, proving to be a success. Minor problems were met with Mothronite-integrated systems as expected.
animated for no reason, ngl this kinda sucked @ilovefish282 for the rocket
