{lyrics} I miss the way that you made me feel nervous But in the kind of way that made you feel like home I miss the way that I’d try act normal When you’d grin at me and call me beautiful I miss your laugh and how I’d sit there falling For you even harder than I did For a minute, you erased the pain I felt With you, I felt like we were little kids I miss the way you made the hard days lighter I miss believing everything was fine But I don’t miss the nights I’d wait forever Just hoping you would call and say goodnight Funny how my heart forgets the bad parts All the ones that made me feel so blue Maybe I don’t miss what we once had Maybe I just miss the best of you Still, we grew apart, I tried to ignore it I don’t miss who you are now I don’t even know you anymore I just miss the version that loved me And the version of me that loved you too It was simpler then, my love Just two kids running around The love we’d never admit And now we say that we’re over it I miss the days I didn’t dread the mornings Somehow they never felt so hard to bear I miss the way I'd wake up with a reason Instead of simply wishing you were there I miss the way you made me feel like living Instead of simply getting through the day I never only ended up losing you I lost myself somewhere along the way Oh Cause we grew apart, I tried to ignore it I don’t miss who you are now I don’t even know you anymore I just miss the version that loved me And the version of me that loved you too It was simpler then, my love Just two kids running around The love we’d never admit And now we say that we’re over it I thought I’d miss you forever Funny how that wasn’t true Somehow I stopped missing who you are But I still miss who I was I with you That’s the part I can’t replace No matter who I try to be I got over losing you I’m still not over losing me It was simpler then It was simpler then It was simpler then, my love written by: guitar by: vocals by:
