Aliscaelum Flight 7901, a Boeing 737-800 carrying 128 passengers and 6 crew members, departs from Erythraean International Airport bound for Yutsanthyne, Teutonia. The flight is scheduled to depart at 11:00 a.m. Shortly after reaching cruising altitude, three masked men rise from their seats and take out concealed firearms. During the takeover, one flight attendant is shot and critically wounded. The attackers declare the aircraft hijacked before forcing their way into the cockpit. Captain Wilhelm Elsyssius and First Officer Mark Attanheim are held at gunpoint and ordered to turn the aircraft around and circle over Zamunda until the aircraft runs out of fuel. With the lives of everyone on board at stake, the pilots comply with the hijackers' demands while quietly beginning to formulate a plan of their own. Approximately twenty minutes into the hijacking, the attackers order a passenger to contact someone on the ground and instruct them to call 911, informing authorities that Aliscaelum Flight 7901 has been hijacked. The passenger complies. News of the hijacking spreads rapidly throughout Teutonia. Within an hour, the incident reaches law enforcement, dominates national news coverage, and prompts an emergency response from the Teutonian government. Officials subsequently establish direct communication with the hijackers. The following exchange takes place: Chancellor: "Hello, this is the Chancellor of Teutonia speaking. I understand you have hijacked a Teutonian airliner?" Hijacker: "Cut it out. We know your little tricks, Otto. All we ask is simple: cancel the scheduled independence of Zamundaalande." Chancellor: "Excuse me, what?" Hijacker: "Cancel the damn thing!" The call is terminated immediately afterward. Shortly afterward, the hijackers initiate another call with Teutonian authorities. "If any fighter jet attempts to intercept this aircraft," one of the hijackers warns, "we will fly this plane straight into the ground." They then issue a final ultimatum directly to the Chancellor. "If our demands are not met by the end of this week"—it is Monday—"we will deliberately crash this aircraft into the city of a random nation." Before the Chancellor has an opportunity to respond, the hijackers terminate the call. The threat sends shockwaves through the government's emergency command center. Despite the severity of the situation and the grim intelligence being presented to him, the Chancellor remains composed, immediately directing officials to continue negotiations while military and security agencies assess every possible course of action. After nearly twenty-four hours in the air, Aliscaelum Flight 7901 is running critically low on fuel, with an estimated 10% remaining. Having received no response to their demands, the hijackers abandon their original plan to keep the aircraft circling until its fuel is exhausted. They establish contact with Teutonian authorities once again. Hijacker: "We've changed our plans. We'll be landing to refuel. In one hour, we'll be back in the air. We await your decision, Otto." The transmission ends shortly afterward. Approximately an hour later, Flight 7901 lands at a small airport in Lokana under the hijackers' control. The aircraft is rapidly refueled while passengers and crew remain on board, and no attempts are made to storm the aircraft. Less than an hour after touchdown, the Boeing 737-800 departs once again, resuming its flight as negotiations between the hijackers and the Teutonian government continue. That is all that has happened of Flight 7901 in the past days, as of now, it is above Zamoundia, bound to complete another circle, the decision is still yet to be made.
