︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵︵ Q1: What's your favourite genre/genres? A: Sci-Fi. I love Apocalypic and Post-Apocalyptic and Dystopian ones. Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: uhhh... maybe? Perhaps never to the full extent of how I envisioned it initally. If "ditching further editing indefinitely" and "being alright with it enough to leave it" counts as "finishing" Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: 1st or 3rd person POVs Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: not sure. I like a bunch of different pieces by different authors. I never really thought about that. I dunno if I like any one author that much more than the others. I like many of them for their own reasons. Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: I already am a writer lol, I don't need to want that xD Okay, fine, you meant professionally? No, only as a hobby Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Structure can be cool to explore when it comes to writing, but reducing the standards you impose on yourself can also be quite freeing. I'd recommend trying to balance meticulous refining with free-flowing exploration. Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: Not anymore, lol. I used to be. It's a long story. Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: Yup. Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: Oh, I never thought about this. I don't really have a specific favorite. How much I favor any individual plot structure really depends on how it is interwoven with other aspects of the storytelling. Q10: What's your inspiration? A: it can be literally anything, lol. but it's not usually people, tbh. or existing poems/writings. I usually just channel whatever is inside me and draw from that. Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: I do. But I like, never do it, lol. Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: I definitely do more poetry than story writing lol. But that's bc poetry is more efficient to me for my purposes of expression and I like to do my expressions in rapid-fire bursts of hyperfocus lol. I haven't written a story in ages, lol. Ig I could. Maybe I'll try that again. Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Fiction Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: uh oh I can't remember. I'm doing this absurdly late at night, so I'm lowk fried rn lmao Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: Yes, but I don't experience it. Q16: What about reader's block? A: Yeah, and I definitely experience that, lol. Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: Yup. I put references in like, a lot of what I say. whether it be the kinds of references listed above or to more abstract concepts.
Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: meh? I have only done that like, once ever. I mean, I like the idea of that kind of organization. It's just not something I tend to seek out much or plan much in advance. I mean, I can see myself writing a story and THEN segmenting it off into chapters. Or having vague outlines for what to include in upcoming chapters/parts. Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: REALISTIC <3 Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: for sure. Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: only rly did that when I was 13, but like, I'd test "as them" after I created them. I think it's fun to explore, lol. Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: GOOGLE DOCS MY BELOVED Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: uhhh just pick something random and do whatever with it. like, it doesn't even have to make sense. just get your brain flowing? I dunno I can't rly relate :'> Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: I was already it before I realized I wanted it lol. so like, elem school, pretty much. Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: yup, lol Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: not at the moment Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: uh... the planning isn't the problem for me. it's the doing Q28: Do you do journaling? A: of sorts, yes. Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: 3rd and 1st person. Fiction, usually. Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: no. not usually. Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: yup Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: yup. with myself. It was a huge coping mechanism for my mental health struggles during the pandemic. I had so much fun with it. Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: no. never, really xD Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: uh it happens so fast I don't rly have a favorite part lol Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: I only edit as I go, rly. I don't have a problem with it. like, my first draft IS my final draft, ngl. it just comes to me Q36: How long have you been writing? A: since elem school lol Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: duh lol. I love trying new things Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: it rly varies depending on what u personally like. I just like discovery in general Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: duh Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: for sure, under an alias lol Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: depends what u consider interesting Q42: Have you ever written a character as something other than a human? A: absolutely lol Q43: Have you ever written the main character as the villain before? A: uhh I think so? Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: complex dynamics and multifaceted characters with interesting behavior and diverging approaches/worldviews Q45: Have you written romance before? A: once, as satire Q46: Do you put life lessons in your stories? A: definitely Q47: What's your favourite character from a book? A: uh oh I dunno. I'll come back later if I have an idea lol Q48: Writing or drawing? A: nuh uh Q49: Writing or reading? A: can't make me choose >:D Q50: Have you written a main character as the complete opposite of you before? A: yeah lol ︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶
