______ LAN WANGJI As the sun sets, Lan Wangji reads scrolls in the library, trying to keep calm and destress. It’s not working though, so he takes out his guqin. He plays the notes from a healing song, not Wangxian -- it brings back too many memories, making it hard to concentrate. The melody of the song Ānxí, meaning rest, fills the room, giving Hanguang-jun some peace. He begins to prepare for sleep when someone knocks on the door. “Hanguang-jun?” The voice of a young boy questions from outside. Wangji walks over and opens the door, revealing Lan Sizhui, clothes and hair damp from the rain. “Sizhui?” Wangji asks, “Is everything okay?” “Sorry to bother you Hanguang-jun. I know I’m supposed to be sleeping, but there is something I need to talk to you about.” “Is it urgent? Can it wait until morning?” Sizhui looks serious as he explains, “It’s about Wei Wuxian.” ______ WEI WUXIAN The sun shines bright into Wei Wuxian’s eyes, causing him to wake from sleep, rolling off of the wooden bed onto the floor, his hair a messy heap and his robes wrinkled. After a long night in an inn, he decided to head in the general direction of Cloud Recesses in the morning. “Ugh, I barely slept last night….” Wei Ying muttered, yawning as he walked out of his room. Wei Ying sat down at a table in the corner of the inn’s restaurant, tapping his foot on the wooden floor while searching for money to pay for liquor. The restaurant was crowded with citizens and smelled like tea. In the middle of the room, a group of cultivators, each appearing to be from different clans, talked in hushed voices. Wei Wuxian leaned closer to try and listen in, but before he could investigate, a worker at the inn headed in his direction. “Young Master, would you like anything to eat?” The worker asks. “Just liquor.” “This early in the day….?” The worker started to question. Wei Wuxian gives him a small glare. “O-Okay, right away Young Master!” Wei Ying sighs, “I wish this place had Emperor’s Smile…. Maybe when I get closer to Gusu I can find some…. ______ I love writing cliff hangers in my chapters: "It's about Wei Wuxian" Dun dun dun.... I'm really sorry for such a long delay in posting this

Sword names: Bichen (Lan) & Suibian (Wei) Lan Wangji’s guqin name: Wangji Wei Wuxian’s bamboo flute name: Chenqing Wei Wuxian = Wei Ying = Yiling Patriarch Lan Wangji = Lan Zhan = Hanguang-jun I'm still deciding on a name for it, I'm either going to call it The Song I Played for You OR Wanderer's Tune There will be spoilers to the drama. And anime and novels I guess as well (I have not read the novels and I have not watched the anime. I only watched the drama.) Even though it doesn't seem like it at first this takes place after the ending of the Chinese Drama. Enjoy!
