As a highschool-experianced kid, I can tell you, be careful! Overview: - stay safe. - have a simple, sturdy backpack/bag. - have all your equipment. - bring your planner/notebook each day. - go with parents/carers for the first few weeks. - do not walk home or to school in the dark (k1dnapping) - make friends at the start, but make sure to be careful who your with, try stay away from people who caused chaos, drama, and break rules. - pay attention in class, but don't be a nerd/teachers pet. - careful what you tell people about yourself and others. - try to keep up with homework. - this is basic for life, but take time for your own self care, have a bath/shower, brush your teeth, etc. - limit screen time. - early nights, get sleep.
