Some of the impact is absorbed and converted into energy that boosts her strength and speed. She hits even harder because of her unusually high muscle density. Profession: Assistant dojo manger/owner (she’s good to fight against for practice) Name: Cairen (pronounced “siren”) Ambrose Age: 19 (birthday 1/15) Gender: Male (cis) Height: 6’1” Mane: Black (sadly bleached white) Birth Magic: Shadow Sneak He can step into someone’s shadow and remain there for a maximum of about three hours, or use it to sneak attack someone. Profession: Dojo owner/manager (also good practice if you want to not get your soul beat out of you) Cairen is a black mane, the son of nobles, and had a pretty decent life until someone discovered his parents had been embezzling money away from the budget for public recreation or the like. This angered the other nobles because the reputation of the nobility was damaged, as well as the lower classes who were upset that their taxes had been squandered on a family’s leisure. Cairen had no idea this had been going on, and although his family was still pretty well off despite the situation, Cairen ran away. He kind of wandered around different villages for awhile, until one day he was walking past a tavern on the way out of town and found a random kid sitting under a tree. She was bruised up a bit and looked tangled, if that was a way someone could look. Turns out her name was Aemi, and from what it sounded like both her parents had abandoned her. She insisted on following Cairen around, and he would’ve left her behind, but she kept on following him. When Cairen was 16 and Aemi was 10, they came to a village and were taking a break in an inn when a aetyr came in to yap with the innkeeper about how the wall of her dojo had been destroyed. Turns out, Aemi had snuck out in the morning to beat up some stuff and got in a fight with some nerds and broken the wall. Cairen figured it probably wouldn’t cost much so he explained the situation and offered to pay. It was…a little more than he was expecting… So he and Aemi ended up working at the lady’s dojo, whose name turned out to be Maela, and actually was pretty nice despite being a total sucker for cash. She got hit with a plague about a year and a half later, and decided it was time to uhh… retire. It was mostly an excuse to quit working and throw money around. She handed ownership to Cairen and Aemi. They all live together in the rooms above the dojo, and they’re basically like family at this point. woo i made wayyy too much lore for these guys (its not all here), i’d love to make like a spinoff series for them at some point if i can get permission
