It was dark, like most nights. Many students were either still at school for detention, or at home sleeping. Not me. My heart still ached. With every minute, it only became worse. I was on a bench outside of school, across the road. My fingers started tingling and my throat felt too dry. My lungs hurt. It hurt too much. Like something was inside of me. I started choking. I don't know what I was choking on. It wasn't until I finally coughed, a really big cough which shook my body. It was flowers. petals gently flew to the ground and I was left with a single flower in my hand. I looked at it. I had no idea why a flower was in my throat. It was red. A rose.
