It was the Easter Holidays, Hollyfrost was with Fiete, hunting. When he saw Natascha, he said to Hollyfrost, “I have to go,” and went to her. He left Hollyfrost standing there and went to Crowstripe. “Crowstripe? What are you doing here?” “I was looking for you!” “What is it?” “Shall we sit on that stone over there?” “Okay.” Then the two of them walked over to the stone and sat down. Rin followed, her black pelt not visible from them. Natasha's cat head lowered and rested on Fiete's shoulder. “You know? My grandpa died a few hours ago. I was there when he was attacked by a stray cat. Can you please tell Fetherstar? So the clan has to be careful?” LYes, of course. But that's not why you came, is it?” “N—no.” “Oh, I wanted to tell you something else, Tascha.” They transformed into human form. Fiete looked around. Not a cat in sight, he thought but it was a mistake. Rin’s pelt was so dark it was impossible for him to find. “I... I... I wanted to tell you, that... that... that I... I... I really love you.” “Me too.” Rin saw with a shock, as Natascha flung her arms around Fiete and kissed him, and Fiete kiss her back. Then they broke apart. Shortly afterwards, they transformed back into cat form and Natasha said: “Fiete, I have to go. The sun is about to set. And in my clan, it's the rule that all cats are back in camp before sunset.” “Okay, see you tomorrow then.” Rin ran as fast as she could. Heart pounding. As she entered the camp, Fetherstar called from her den. “Hollyfrost? Please, come in.” Rin entered. “Is Fiete hiding something from me? He’s acting very odd.” Rin considered for a moment. But she chose to tell her mother what she had witnessed. “What… Fiete, MY, deputy, going out with an another Clan’s she-cat? Oh no…” “Yes…” “Hollyfrost, this is a thing you have to do for me. A warrior’s mission. Please, spy on Fiete whenever he goes out. If you were found… well with your pelt, it’s impossible, I know that, but when you’re found… tell him any story.”
