30. HP Update - Catching Goldie - - - - Today I went to Goldie’s stall to get him out. The second I opened the door a crack he pushed it open and ran through the halls like a maniac, he was just waiting for his chance to escape xD He got all the way to the outdoor arena, and luckily no one was using it or today might have ended a lot differently. He ran though the open gate into the arena, and I quickly shut it behind me. I then grabbed a spare halter on the pole, and kinda slow jogged so as not to spook him. I took a cookie out of my cookie pouch (yes, I have a cookie pouch) and held it out to him after he slowed down. He came down to a walk and turned to me. He saw the cookie and walked over. I gave him the cookie with one hand as I put on the halter with the other. I attached the lead rope that was hanging on my belt and brought him out of the arena and into the cross ties. So glad we’re done with all the excitement xD I put him in the cross ties and gave him a full brush down. He had lots of dirt, dust, and even a little bit of mud after his jailbreak, as he was kicking up quite a bit of dust. After 20 minutes of brushing, I gave him some pats and then detached the cross ties and put on his lead rope, then brought him back to hip stall where he took a nap. Shenanigans are exhausting, I guess. I do not claim full, partial, or any ownership over Goldie. - - - - Credss!
