Sun-Eater DTAE --- uhhh this design is really cool and I love it, I have a ton of story ideas and more art I want to make but for the time being I'll just post this drawing. (which scratch unfortunately killed the quality of but it's fine) --- Story -- A deity of sorts, driven by its emptiness, and said that its hunger may only be satiated by eating the sun itself. It has three forms, its dormant form, a form I haven’t named yet and a complete form. Its dormant form is essentially its base form, it’s incredibly vulnerable, akin to a mortal, and it harbors an insatiable hunger, an emptiness that it can’t dispel. Its currently unnamed form is activated once it has consumed enough energy. Its power seeps out of its body and is short lived (it typically only lasts around a few hours, and depletes even faster if used) but satisfies it for a while. I haven’t decided whether its complete form is from eating the sun, or something of similar power, nor have I figured out the logistics of how it would eat the sun, but this form is them at full power (and is also the form depicted in the first drawing.) At this point they would have ascended to a god-like state, they multiply in size to contain the energy flowing within them, and have a vast amount of power they can use. Similarly to its unnamed form this state isn’t permanent, however they are supplied with enough power to last decades to millions of years depending on how they use it. (if I were to go with the eating the sun route of the story once all of their power is expelled it basically means the end of mortal life on the planet, as the power doesn’t turn into a new sun) These forms are more of a spectrum than specific forms it suddenly takes on once it reaches a certain amount of energy. I’ve simply split it into different forms to explain how its power works. They’re immortal, even in their dormant form, however they are able to sustain wounds from mortals and be killed by other gods. They are bound to the mortal plane, unlike most other deities. I haven’t determined why yet but it seems fun. (I miiiiiight make a refined version of this later but probably not, I’m really just dumping most of my ideas for the story here to give you a basic idea of it) (I'll also give them more of a personality eventually) ____ CREDITS > Design . @t0adbrain Background .
