In 1967, Apple Films Company Limited sued The Beatles' Apple Corps for trademark infringement when they were launching their film division, Apple Films. Apple Corps managed to win the court case, and Apple Films Company Limited were forced to give them $900,000. This lead to Apple Films Company Limited falling into financial difficulties. To save themselves, Apple Films Company Limited merged with Gallery Pictures International to form Apple-Gallery Media.
