you may be wondering, why Triton, of all characters, rather than somebody like Venus or Jupiter?? WELL, I can't actually answer that one, because I don't even know myself! But bear in mind, this isn't even a full, completed ref– I just decided to draw Triton to showcase an idea I had for the Neptunian moons (+ Triton). Basically– Proteus and the other Neptunian moons do eventually realise, "oh. Triton is adopted." Now, in SBR, Neptune has some aquatic features to reflect the, you know, whole God of the Sea thing, and the Neptunian moons have the same. Triton, of course, does not. So they draw some scales on his face with blue marker so he doesn't feel left out even if he honestly kinda doesn't care. But he appreciates the sentiment. <3 Also, I imagine it getting smudged somehow in the moon revolution or something T^T. >> credits ••• 「- art: @Venusling_ 」 「 music: teenagers (MCR) 」
