29. HP Update w/ Ghost - Flatwork - - - - Today was my first day training Ghost for the community barn! (Ignore terrible quality of anything I made, I’m on mobile so and I CANNOT do art on mobile xD) I meant to do some jumping with him today but scratch had other plans (kept being glitchy and reloading so I had to end it at poles) First thing I did when I got him out of his stall was take him to the round pen. We did walk trot canter walk canter trot walk. Then I took him to the crossties where I brushed him, and he was such a good boy and didn’t fidget at all, and picked up his hooves when I asked him to without being stubborn. I went and got his tack from the tack room, and brought it all back in one trip (I’m so bufffff) I then tacked him up and brought him to the indoor arena. The ground was so nice and soft in the indoor arena and it was WAY too hot to ride in the outdoor one in all that tack xP I started by doing some laps with him, just transitioning gaits. Then I brought out some poles and went over them with Ghost. He was overstepping a bit which was a small problem since the poles weren’t super far apart. We went over the poles 3 times, and he finally stopped overstepping. I was going to do jumps with him but he was getting a bit fidgety after the poles (totally not because scratch was crashinnggg) So instead we then did a cooldown lap and I put him away. Great session overall, I really enjoyed working Ghost (the horse, not the host xD) I do not claim full, partial, or any ownership over Ghost. - - - - Credits!
