Instructions

Setting: the parks forest ~MUMBO~ I was surprised to see another kid this deep in the park.. I thought my hiding spot was flawless! Then again….I never seen this kid in the park before…he must be new. “Hey are you okay?” I said. He looked a bit scuffed up. He was shocked to hear my voice he let out this surprised noise….it almost sounded like a squawk. “WHO ARE YOU?” He shouted. I flinched at his yelling. Did I scare him? "I'm....uh-.....uhm.." I stuttered. "Well don't just stutter! Spit it out!" The kid said. I panicked, "My name is mumbo r jumbo and I hang out here in this forest sometimes! " "..." Why isn't he responding? He then started giggling, and eventually bursted into laughter. "MUMBO JUMBO?! THATS YOUR NAME?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?" He squawked. I felt my face get hot. "Yeah yeah, my name is mumbo jumbo! And I like that name! After all, at least I don't have a stupid squawk when I laugh and scream!" The boy looked at me, no longer laughing. "What did you just say?" He said, raising an eyebrow. "You heard me bird boy! Is that what YOUR name is??? Bird boy? Cause you sure sound like that!" I had no idea what I was doing, but it seemed to be working, he was getting mad. "Stop that!" He yelled. "BIRD BOY BIRD BOY! YOU ARE A BIRD BOY" "I said STOP!" He pushed me down a hilly part of the park, but I must've made him trip because he began tumbling down the hill with me. "Oof!" I yelped. Ugh...I felt a bunch of soon to be bruises around my body. I looked up to see the boy messing with his hair quickly, he looked panicked. "Hey.... are you okey? " I said. He had a cut on his knee "Leave me alone! " he said. All of a sudden, my small robot managed to finally follow me to the area we were in, but it didn't go to me, it went to him. "Hey! its that little robot again!" He said. “ I tried to get a better look at him earlier…” “That’s my robot actually!” I said, beaming proudly. The boy looked at me and raised his eyebrows. “ really? YOU made this huh?….its quite interesting…. Why does it have a moustache?” “ I’m actually not sure! Thought it looked cool! Who knows, I might have a moustache like that one day!” I said. The boy scoffed “ maybe with your little whisps you have on your upper lip! Pah!” He then extended his arm as if expecting a handshake. “My name is Grian, by the way.” “Oh! Now you give your name huh?” I chuckle. “ nice to meet you Grian!” Grian suddenly crouched down and looked closer at my robot. “whats its name?” He asked. “ I don’t know…I can’t think of any ideas…” I replied. “Hmmm” “Buttercup?” Grian asked. “Eeeeh nah,” I said “What about redstone? He kinda looks like he could be called redstone” “ he isint even red though-“ “……” Then I had an idea. “ what about grumbot?” I said. “Grumbot?” “You know, like our names squished together! And bot at the end!” “Hmmmm…I like it! It has a good ring to it!” Grumbot spinned around, I guess he liked the name too! “alright! Grumbot it is!” I felt amazing! Not only did I find the name for my robot, but I made my very first friend! And I’m gonna do anything to keep it that way, …....anything.
