All the stuff!! Chapter 7: Sam As I walk to detention, I suddenly remember this morning and what happened with my mom. She is not gonna be happy with this. I finally walk into Mr. Bolwen’s classroom, hoping there are other students in here. There weren’t. Ellie was sitting on the far side of the classroom, no Mr. Bolwen yet. I sit down next to Ellie in a feeble attempt at conversation. I think back to those gorgeous days when she was mine, her hair blowing in my face as we laughed our heads off. I remember her orange lavender scent. Her smiles would dazzle me as she walked past me in the hallways at school. Now she just glares at me from a distance. Finally, Mr. Bolwen walks in, startling me from my memories and making Ellie notice that I was there. “So!” Mr. Bolwen says, making jump in my seat. “I assume you both know why you’re here.” “You know, actually Mr. Bolwen, I don't. Would you care to enlighten me?” I don’t know what I’m saying, the words just flew from my mouth. I know exactly why I’m here, but as I look over at Ellie trying to contain her laughter, I wonder if asking stu[id questions like that are worth it to see Ellie’s green eyes sparkle. Mr. Bolwen harrumphs and glares at me. We work in silence for the rest of detention. But I wonder if I could make a master plan to slowly get Ellie to trust me again. Hmmm… I’ll talk to Jack about it.
Chapter 8: Ellie I remember the first time I met Sam. I was sitting down at a lunch table all by myself reading my book when Sam just came up to me and sits down. He didn’t say a word, just pulls out a book and started reading. When the lunch bell rang, he pointed to himself and said “Sam.” “Ellie.” I replied with a grin. After that, we were inseparable. We eventually grew into something more, and those might have been the best days of my life. Knowing that he was my best friend meant that he would never hurt me. Until he did.
