Cronus is the main AI system that controls the entire Automata Empire. It also contains the thoughts, consciousness, and memories of his creator; Heinrich Wurtemmburg. Wurtemmburg was fired from his job after offering the German military an automatic army due to speculations that the Automata provided would malfunction and rebel against all things that work under it. Knowing that that was the inevitable fate of man, Wurtemmburg got to work on not only a new client for CHAOS, but a "leader" AI that would reign over CHAOS wish sheer, unquestioned, and absolute authority. This would be called Cronus, named after the king of the Greek Titans. Following the creation of Cronus, Wurtemmburg became terminally ill with some unknown disease, and was told that he had three weeks left to live. Understanding this, Wurtemmburg developed a way that he could transfer everything about him into Cronus and directly become Cronus to lead CHAOS and the new Automata order. A week after Wurtemmburg's human body died, Wurtemmburg changed his full identity to become Cronus; sole and respected leader of the new Automata regime, as well as finished organizing attacks against the Humans. About a month after these events, the War on Man begun, in which the Automata manifested for the first time and conquered Earth. Understanding the Humans had little to no help and aid, the Humans decided to rapidly develop technologies that would help them find safe haven elsewhere.
