This project doesn't distort its own sound, and is basically silent: Try playing something else alongside it, for example, by opening a music player or YouTube video (in another tab or app), while the project plays. It should sound just like it's put through a guitar distortion filter. This project essentially creates a constant DC offset. If a square wave goes up and down, and we hear the frequency it goes up and down at, then this goes up and then never comes down; that is why there's a little pop when the project starts or stops. Because of this, your speaker has less room to move, and can't reproduce audio as well, making a distorted sound. This may damage your speakers if kept on continuously for too long. The project is pretty messy because I only found this effect by accident. I would recommend listening to The Radiant City by the Horse Lords with this project playing.
