-《 These are my original notes for Sidekicks in Illuminated... 》- +------------------------------------------+ introduction The idea of a sidekick is pretty cool. Here's my thoughts on what sidekicks can be collected, how you can and what they can do. Click anywhere in the project to see designs for them! Of course, these designs are just to show you what one of their designs may look like. When you get a sidekick it can look like anything that's allowed! We could go for a maximum of 2-3 sidekicks per character. 1 sidekick at max may not be suitable for some sidekicks but that can easily be fixed by modifying their effects! ⭒------------------------------------------⭒ learn about them Categorisation format: For small sidekicks: - name: how to obtain // effects when obtained For large/i.exclusive sidekicks: - name: how to obtain // effects when obtained // how to keep/lose them [ Small sidekicks - the more easier sidekicks you can obtain... - Duck: cannot be gained as kit! Gain more than 10 EXP within one week without gaining any other sort of points // collecting at least 5 EXP per week will give you 1 intelligence or power/medical points (depends on your path, warrior or medic) points, chosen at random - Pika: visit the border once per week 10 times in a row, thread must finish before end of week // if your character is about to die due to lack of food, there is a 12% chance of surviving - Chipmunk: be the no.1 factor in a very significant event (cannot be obtained if you are a highrank! keep that in mind!) (if you're unsure about who that no.1 factor is, talk to everyone that may help you find out/was involved, then speak to the people giving out the sidekicks) (this can include saving Clan destruction, a large discovery, etc.) // Have a 55% chance of having 5-10 (at random) more EXP in an action requiring it - Stoat: hunt in 10 threads 5 weeks in a row (must be a decently long thread each) // Gain 3 power points temporarily when hunting prey or on a patrol - Frog: (Cannot be claimed after 6 moons of age, so be quick!) Talk to exactly 2 medics, 3 warriors, the deputy, the leader and an elder. They must all be different cats. If there is a lack of one of these ranks then you cannot claim the frog, sorry! // When gaining EXP, have a 15% chance of the EXP collected being doubled - Parrot: Make at least 5 friends and catch 50 pieces of prey before 12 moons of age! // 20% chance of your intelligence temporarily having 5-10 more points every week - Snail: Don't hunt at all until at least 40 moons of age // Useless. Does nothing. Unless you want a wombat too, or need help with getting goat - Hedgehog: Collect more than 20 intelligence and power/medical points (your choice) before 12 moons of age (too easy for some? if so please let me know) // When rolling death from fighting a predator or cat, there's a 15% chance of turning into an injury instead [ Large sidekicks - harder to obtain but give better rewards! you will also need to do some actions even after obtaining them or else you lose them permanently! - Heron: You must have at least 1 other sidekick. After that, you must do an action 10 times that involves the use of your sidekick's effects. You can't gain this at all if your sidekick can't really do that, such as the pika's benefits being either life or death! (Getting a heron using the pika would require lots of luck!) For example, with the stoat, you can go hunt prey or go on a patrol 10 times to experience the power boost. // If you are a warrior/w.apprentice you have a 40% chance to gain +2 MED, and if you are a medic/m.appentice you have a 40% chance to gain +2 POW. You'll get a chance for this every week. You will only be given the point if you have collected at least 3 other points (any point type) in that week. // Use your other sidekick's effects in an action at least once a week to keep heron! - Goat: Access a restricted area at least 3 times in a row without any injury or getting caught. No one should be involved or watching. If you get an injury or get caught once, you won't be able to get goat for 20 moons, so you should wait until they are up before trying to access those areas again unless you still want to go to those areas for some reason. If you have a snail, if you get caught or injured, you won't have to wait 20 moons... once. After that you will lose your snail. This try will still count for the 3 moons. // When entering a restricted or unallowed area, your intelligence goes up by 10! cont. n&c...
You will also be able to access goat-exclusive places that do not have a caught chance with goat, but you may not take anyone with you or else you will lose goat. // Taking someone with you to a goat-exclusive area (even if they have goat) will cause you to lose goat. Goat also has other places to be, so every week there is a 5% chance for you to lose goat permanently! - Wombat: You must have a snail sidekick, as the wombats near ____Clan like snails because they're the same colour as the snail's shell (don't ask). You must then go on a border patrol (border only!) as wombats are usually found beyond the territory. The thread must be decently long! After the patrol you may report your patrol to the sidekick registration project (coming soon maybe). (Please also insert your EXP and intelligence points in your form, and use the form provided.) You will then have a 2% base chance to get wombat, increasing by 2% for every 5 EXP or 2 INT points you have. However, you will also have a 12% chance to lose snail permanently. It is as such best to try and get wombat when you have higher EXP and INT points. You can only do a border patrol with an aim to get wombat once every week. // Upon obtaining wombat, you have a 50% chance to lose snail (Don't ask! Unless you really have to). Wombat will boost all your points by around 50% during the colder months but will debuff your points by 55% during the warmer months. In the cold, if you have lots of points, wombat can be pretty effective! As such, some cats will think others with a wombat with them are very skilful. // Going on a border patrol during the warmer months causes a 20% chance for you to lose wombat. You will also lose wombat if you do not hunt for 3 IRL weeks during the colder months. - Eagle: Do not hunt or get any sort of points. You cannot have any other companions before you get eagle. If you do not get any of the above after 12 moons, you will have a 7% chance every week to get an eagle offering. Hunting, collecting points or getting a companion will stop you from getting offerings permanently. You may accept or decline the offer. If you accept, you will get eagle. You will not get any more offerings after 72 moons or if you are a medic, keep that in mind! // You have a 25% chance to receive 1 Eaglepower (learn more about this in the points ideas) every week. Eagle will also help hunt for the Clan; every week, there is a 50% chance for eagle to automatically add 1-5 pieces of prey to the pile. // To keep eagle, you must roleplay at least 3 times per week and you cannot hunt/collect points. You also cannot earn points that is not from owning eagle. Eagle may also leave at a 5% chance every week, as it seems like the eagles near ____Clan like to head towards new places. (Wow the large sidekicks have such a long description) [ Illuminated-exclusive sidekicks - very rare and very hard to obtain AND keep! I'm unsure if they can be allowed in the actual WCRP as they are all made-up creatures. Olly, what's your thought on this? /nf - Flickerwing: has a 2% chance to be obtained when a cat does a Clan tradition 5 times in a week. Flickerwings love tradition but they are SUPER scared of cats, so that's why they rarely enter Clan territory. However, if cats have higher than 50 INT, the chances of obtaining these elusive birds gets raised to 4%. (Yeah sorry...) Flickerwings don't like the friskiness of kits/apprentices and the usual aggression of leaders and deputies, so those ranks cannot get this sidekick. They will also avoid cats that seem to be involved in certain groups (as in clubs, like games clubs, climbing clubs, etc.) // A boost in other sidekicks' effects! Yes, that also means the wombat's debuff, the goat's leave chance and other things like that. Their effects get boosted by 2.25x! Actions that require intelligence will see their character's INT points be temporarily doubled. However, upon obtaining flickerwing, your power points will be permanently halved. You may also access goat-exclusive places with flickerwing, but you have a 90% chance of not surviving. (Death chance gets reduced by 5% with every 15 EXP or 10 INT. The higher amount will take over.) // To keep flickerwing, you cannot become a deputy/leader or become involved in a group. If the Clan has higher than 75 cats in population, every week, flickerwing has a 25% chance of leaving. If you are to fight anyone, upon winning, flickerwing has a 50% chance of leaving, and upon losing, they'll have a 70% chance of leaving. Lastly, you cannot exceed roleplaying 3 times per week. At least one of those threads must be for doing a Clan tradition. The other two can be for anything you want to do. If you do more than 3 roleplays or if you do not do a Clan tradition within that week, you will permanently lose flickerwing! (NT's/CT's do not count.) cont. part 2... https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1365212015/
