Skin is a suffocating thing. It fits all too tightly Though the folds remains And the suffocating feeling is all it brings. Too much to ignore, Too little to point out, Too cowardly to do anything, But to hate my body more. Every night is a reminder, But that feeling is what I crave. I need this pain, I need it so bad. Because maybe if I suffer, I'll treat myself kinder. So i'll continue wishing for change, this book in my lap. Wish to become anything different. Wish to have some sort of confidence in myself. Or wish that my head comes off with a painless snap. Because now that I've written this, I have become Another teen seeking attention Another person you'll hate, and for some reason, still miss. Though I'll lighten the mood with this last stanza Not only to shrink myself and my emotions, To make this whole thing a joke. But also because I don't deserve to be sad, And nothing good rhymes with Stanza.
Why yes, I did make this in the middle of the night instead of using the stupid "Coping strategies" my therapist tells me to do And why yes, there's nothing that I'm coping about Bc I have no trauma and an awesome home life. Ik, ik. Sounds like I'm lying, but I'm not, I honestly have an awesome family and friends (shoutout to the latter) ALSO Credit to my eye for that random blue dot and my crappy computer camera as I did my photoshoot :P And to all the artists who make these songs And to all the other projects I definitely didn't export them from Definitely...
