After two days of work, (for the base Processor) I am glad to announce XSCC-0001! The demo program I loaded onto the MCU I made with XBASIC, it prints "True" and beeps if space is pressed, and "False" if not (DEV Note: i had to use the MCU's wait peripheral to slow down execution speed so the console refreshes properly, XSCC-0001 is much faster than what is shown in the demo). #News: ##8/21/2026 - XBASIC Creation • Created XBASIC, a BASIC inspired version of XAV that runs on the XSCC line of processors, took me 9 days to fully create. ##8/12/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Fixed else/else if not throwing an error if not used after if/else if • fixed the tokenizer so && can be used as it's own token again. ##8/11/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Fixed another recursive function bug. ##8/10/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Added Function_Arg as a command, used to set variables as function args using the argument registers (dx,dy,dz), however it is much more memory efficient to use the dx,dy, and dz registers on their own. • Fixed a recursive function bug. ##8/9/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Many Variable bugfixes (too many to list here) • Added PinOUT & PinIN ##8/8/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Added Scopes, which as you see the time difference between the last update, took me FOUR DAYS, how i did it was constantly trying, breaking, and restoring the compiler, until I got something that semi-works. Scopes exist for: if while else and func. • Added Inherit, inherit allows you to get variables from outer scopes, eg: inherit x; NOTE: XCL Does not cleanup the Cache automatically when you exit a scope, sure, the variable will look like it's GONE but it's still in Cache, so XCL will still yell at you for not using void. #/4/2026 - XCL Upgrade • added local variables, which took me a while to think about how, and i decided on using the CPU's cache as storage, just like how some BIOS' use the CPU's cache as RAM, however since the cache is 512 bytes, it only allows for 512 variables, wich for now is more than enough if you manage it properly using [void]. If you don't though XCL's allocator WILL yell at you for using too many and not managing memory. #/2/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Upgraded the MCU, XMCU-0002 uses a BIOS to run whatever is in pin 7, adds an SSD, and has a few optimizations. Dev Note: (The BIOS is BIOSX (BIOS-XAV) and was made in XASM) Prototype Note: (The Second MCU was a test to see if a BIOS could actually work with the current setup, it's still a prototype.) • Fixed a minor if/while bug • Fixed a bug that caused functions in conditional statements to overwrite the dx, dy, and dz registers. • Completely reworked function calls, making them more reliable, and allowing them to properly restore the dx, dy, and dz registers. Dev note: THIS TOOK ME HOURS TO DO XD. #/1/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Added math operations to XCL eg: (1+2), ((1+2)*3) they can be placed in Conditional statements as well which is useful. #/31/2026 - XCL Upgrade • Added the ability for return to return function output. -- • I fixed else if so it will still create an end label chain even if a final else isn't there. -- • Changed the Demo so it beeps when space is pressed. -- • Changed function calls so they require semicolons at the end. #/30/2026 - XCL Upgrade I FINALLY added "&&" and "||" to XCL, and added "else if" to it, finally allowing you to chain conditions. #/19/2026 - XCL Upgrade I managed to add functions as inputs, FINALLY making it so you don't have to manage the rdx return register on your own.
