Me:p Pseudopistris, commonly called the Fake Shark, was first spotted in Northern California when a fisherman looked in the water and took a picture of a fin. Then, a shark-like carcass washed up on the shore, and when scientists tested the dna in the creature, it seemed more pinniped, or seal, than shark. With California now as an island of the coast of the USA, Northern Elephant Seals evolved to have a dorsal fin and sideways moving tail. Their skin is more rough, and their noses are shrinking and their teeth are growing. This creature rams it’s prey and rends them immobile.
