In June of ’26, I was gifted a balloon. I gifted that balloon a face. And after that, a name. And then love. His name is Chuck. A few weeks after I received Chuck, I realized something awful. Chuck had a terminal disease. Every day, he lost more and more helium. He was getting deformed and didn’t seem like himself. He lost his ability to float. He shrunk to less than half of his original size in only a month. And it was getting worse. He was tiny now. Scared, in pain, completely unaware of what was happening to him. It was then that I made a decision. I was going to put him down. Today, I did. And now, Chuck feels no pain. He feels no fear. May he find peace in his new home. RIP Chuck June 2026 - July 2026 Gone too soon
