Hey guys would you be interested in this? So I played WCUE years ago and this was inspired by a magic school on a server. So I made this into a full-fledged draft of a book, but then I decided, “Why not make it into a roleplay?!?” Sooo what’s this about? “For thousands of years, cats have lived alongside humans. Barn cats, street cats, pet cats, ship cats… the places they could be and the jobs they could have are endless! But cats have secret side to them that has never been revealed to any human before…until you. Cats live by humans because they are protectors, guardians of nature and of civilization. Each and every cat was put on this Earth to protect their human…or humans. Whether that means becoming their pet, or a lovable colony cat, they will not let any harm come to you. But that is not all. Cats are…magical. Some of the last traces of magic on earth can be found in their bodies, and in the air around them. Ancient nature magic runs through their veins…giving each cat a special power, depending on the kind of magic they harness. Some control fire, some rain, and some minds. Each power is special and unique, and shaped around each individual cat’s lives. Young kittens, though, are not born with these powers. They must unlock them from within themselves. Some are naturals at this. Some will never realize they have a power. Once they get their power, young kittens must also teach themselves to harness it and use it. Rarer powers are often powerful, and end in chaos if not controlled. And most cats realized this. The younger generation needed someone to help them, and guide them, as they navigated their new role. They needed to be taught to control their power, and to become a guardian. So, Magic Cat Academy was born. Now, kittens and young cats could come in as students, unlocking their power and using it. Now, hundreds of years later, a kitten yowls in delight and rushes to the door, to find they have received a note! They have been accepted into Magic Cat Academy! Now them, along with many other kittens from the most elite magical colonies and families, will go to Magic Cat Academy to learn! Will you explore the school year of one of these lucky prodigies? Sooo this is kinda like Harry Potter and Keeper of The Lost Cities but cats! If you’re interested, then here is some info about this roleplay! Your character: At MCA, your character’s entire education is over three years! You can create your cat as either as a First Year, or Beginner, Second Year, as an Intermediate, or a Third Year, as Advanced! Of course, this is in human years, as a first year would already be an adult if they were actually a few years old. So here’s a guide for human vs. cat years in the rp First year - 10-13 in human years Second year - 13-16 in human years Third year - 16-19 in human years After the first school year, which I have yet to decide if it moves at the actual speed of a year August-June or if it moves like a month every two weeks or somethin, when sign-ups open again, you can either decide to keep going with the character you have (you advance up a year, though, so if you were first year before you are second year now, so if your character started as a third year they have graduated and are no longer playable) or start a new one! Also, we’ll be needing professors! I will be the headmaster, but I will need teachers for classes. If you are a professor, you can still have a student character, since professors are technically the teachers so they are indirectly characters BUT your character cannot be the teacher’s pet or something like that. Now, what about powers? Here is what will be the main focus of each year - First Year : Finding out your power Second Year : Using your power Third Year : Becoming a Guardian There will be a wide range of powers you can have, some rarer than others. I will assign you a power based on your character and based on chance. But if you are a First Year the power will be dormant when you first start and will be unlocked sometime in the school year, also based on chance on when. And I’m running out of room, so I’m going to mention one more thing: collars. Collars help identify students and symbolize their experience. When First Years join school, there is a collar ceremony, sort of like the sorting hat ceremony in HP. Students will come up and receive a collar, marking that they are now officially a student. The color of the collar is randomly decided. Collar tags also symbolize their year. Students first have a bronze tag, which is traded in for a silver tag in second year. In their last year, they have a gold tag. Also, once they get a power, their power’s symbol will be displayed as a little pin badge on their collar.
