Recently our family friend’s daughter passed away, Olivia I created this project to honor the beautiful life of Olivia and to help keep her memory alive. Although I only knew Olivia for a short time, and only met her like once. Yesterday at her funeral, her story deeply touched my heart. Through this project, I hope more people will see what a joyful, kind, and deeply loved little girl she was. I chose the song “Girl on Fire"because it was one of Olivia's favorite songs. She loved dancing to it with her sister, Ava, and hearing it reminds me of the happiness and light she brought to the people around her. I hope the music celebrates the joy she shared rather than only the sadness of her loss. I also created this project to gently spread awareness about drowning prevention. Olivia's story is a heartbreaking reminder that accidents can happen in just moments. If even one person is encouraged to be more careful around water because of her story, then her memory will continue to make a difference. Most of all, I hope this project encourages people to remember Olivia not only for how she passed away, but for how she lived: with a pure heart, a joyful spirit, a beautiful smile, and a love that will never be forgotten.
