1 . draw hair. 2 . fill in base colours. make sure they are not too saturated or not too desaturated unless that’s the actual hair colour of the character you are drawing 3 . basic shadows + light. make sure you have an established light source so lighting and shadows aren’t randomly placed. 4 . re outlining the hair bc i used a very low opacity pencil brush 5 . add colours on the edge of the highlights . these colours are usually more saturated. 6 . same thing but with shadows 7 . add random saturated colors to the parts that look empty or blank 8 . cleanup + brighter highlights. 9 . rendering. add more colours where things look blank.
