Though they've had their ups and downs, conflicts and resolutions, they have never known true strife – not like that which is soon to descend upon them. Life energy is not a balanced ebb and flow. There is a limitation to what the universe can handle – a limit that is, for some reason, being breached. The cats of these lands must find the 'center of the world', as told by the oracle of the Historykeepers, to find and aid the universe's embodiment: Novara. There is a parasite tearing through your world's harmony, and little time to stop it. - there's a few gimmicky elements to this rp that i really like that i wanna share too hehe Each cat is assigned a zodiac sign based on what their IC birth moon would be. Each moon, the next sign is in season, beginning with Capricorn and ending with Sagittarius for a 12-moon year. 1 moon is 2 weeks IRL. There are four ancient 'gods' called primordials, and each clan primarily follows/is named after one of them – TerraClan, who follows Gaia, the primordial of earth. HydraClan, who follows Pontus, the primordial of water. AeroClan, who follows Aether, the primordial of air. and PyreClan, who follows Hemera, the primordial of fire. The Historykeepers precede the clans by many moons, so they are composed of a mixture of various followers, ideals, domains, etc. They do not follow a typical clan structure. They have an oracle (leader) who is chosen by a sacred artifact passed down through generations, an Advisory Council that is made of 3-5 cats who are particularly dedicated, passionate, wise, etc., and recently a new "position" that is the Tutor. The Tutor acts as a mix between deputy/mentor/advisor for the current Oracle due to her unique situation -- after her term, it may or may not be kept. Most areas in the territory are 'claimed' by one of the primordials, making it part of their domain. Cats with a zodiac sign whose element aligns with that of the primordial, (ex. earth sign on Gaia's domain) will receive 'buffs' there: better hunting, combat, stealth etc. Cats whose sign is in season will also receive similar buffs anywhere. When a sign is in season, cats of that sign can accumulate spirituality points and may even have an audience with a primordial when on their domain. there's a few survival aspects also otherwise the buffs don't really have much of a Purpose but it's relatively standard things -- keep your prey pile full & herbs stocked and you're good to go it's also not really a gimmick per se but i am thinking about implementing a basic genetics system for litters.. it would be fun wouldn't that be fun that's about it for introductory info! questions are super welcome if you're curious about anything. although sign ups are Technically open this is mostly just a preview of a concept to see what interest there is if any
