I am working on a Mario game called Super Mario Ionized (SMI) and have made a bit of progress. I guess this is the time to announce it. GAMEPLAY: In SMI, Mario will be able to do his New Super Mario Bros. U moveset (and maybe others!). POWERUPS: Expect the Fire Flower and Mushroom. There will also be a bad flower, the Oleander, that damages you when you touch it. STORY: Bowser reads a book about mysterious, powerful particles called Ions and wants their power for himself. Princess Peach hears about this and starts building a structure called the Ion Conservatory. However, the power needed to keep the Ions safe can only be found in the Ions themselves! Peach sends Mario on a journey across the Mushroom Kingdom to collect the Ions. Once the Conservatory is finished, Mario proceeds to confront Bowser and defeat him with the power of the Ions. GIMMICKS: Collect Ions to charge up your Ion meter. When it is full, you can become invincible for a short while as Ionized Mario. some art by @DuckGoose9254
