(Enjoyy) They must've been driving for hours without saying a word to each other. The fight before certainly had left some wounds. Maverick gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white. He sighed through his teeth, eyes ahead, “Noelle, you don’t know what I feel.” “What if I do?” His sister automatically spat, crossing her arms. “You think you do, but you don’t.” They sat in silence for a while as Maverick stopped for a red light. The road was soaked and slippery, puddles being sprayed into the air by cars. Noelle thought over her words carefully. “You always end up getting hurt.” “What do you mean?” Maverick scowled. The light turned green. He stepped on the gas. Hard. “Mavy…” Noelle eyed her brother, “What are you doing?” A single tear fell from his eyes. “You don’t understand everything!” Maverick scolded, his voice cracking. “You don’t understand me.” He spun the wheel abruptly , the tires screeching against the road. The car tilted. Then… …It stopped. They both held the doors, bracing for impact that never came. The car rocked back onto the curb, before settling back on the curb. “Are you okay?” Maverick asked. “Yeah…” Noelle mumbled. “Love you sis.” “Love you too.”
