Name: Nagi Kurose Personality: Gentle and patient, but unwavering once she draws her sword. Motivation: Nagi once saw a willow survive a storm that uprooted stronger trees. That became her outlook: "The strongest tree isn't the one that refuses to bend. It's the one that bends... and still stands." Her hair is like zenitzu's but longer and blue and black. Her uniform is similar to mitsuri's bc her chest is a little bigger but, unlike mitsuri, she's a little more chubby. She is a hashira. Blade: Blade color: Deep indigo that gradually fades into silver near the tip, like moonlight on calm water. Tsuba (guard): Circular with delicate willow branches woven around it. Her relations with the other hashira: Muichiro They enjoy comfortable silence together. Mitsuri Makes Nagi try desserts. Rengoku He admires her kindness. Obanai He thinks she's too trusting... ...until he sees her fight. Tengen Calls Willow Breathing: "Not flashy enough." Then watches Nagi effortlessly defeat a demon. "...Actually...that was pretty flashy." Shinobu Quiet mutual respect with a bit of teasing. Sanemi Constant bickering... but deep respect. Giyuu Comfortable silence. She enjoys tending to her garden at the butterfly mansion in her pastime. Mentor was: Shinjro Rengoku. She sometimes trained alongside Kyōjurō, which is why they have a stronger bond. But, she forgives too easily. She always wants to see the good in people. Sometimes… People take advantage of that. Even Sanemi gets frustrated with her: "You're too trusting." Willow Breathing Theme: Flexibility, patience, calmness. Techniques are graceful, flowing, and deceptively fast. Example forms: First Form: Swaying Branch Second Form: Whispering Leaves Third Form: Gentle Canopy Sixth Form: Falling Willow She adapted Willow breathing herself. Her haori: Black at the shoulders...Fading into deep blue...Ending in white at the bottom. Like the night sky meeting the horizon. Nagi: Always fixes broken branches after training. Talks quietly enough that people have to lean in. Makes flower crowns for children she rescues. Carries willow leaves in one sleeve of her haori. Hums softly while cleaning her Nichirin blade. Instead of overpowering demons… Nagi looks almost like she's dancing. She lets attacks pass by her. She bends instead of resisting. Then…One precise slash. Fight over. But she blames herself for every casualty. Even if she saves 99 people...She thinks about the one she couldn't. Nagi's crow is...LOUD. Constantly yelling. Bossing everyone around. Meanwhile Nagi is speaking so quietly that people can't hear her. Another Hashira asks: "Why don't you attack first?" Nagi smiles. Looks at the willow leaves in her hand. Then says: "The wind always believes it can break the willow." She draws her Nichirin blade. "...It never notices the willow is waiting." How it ends: Kokushibo launches the attack. Sanemi is occupied. Gyomei is focussed on his next attack. Nagi performs...Seventh Form: Weeping Willow. She redirects as much of the attack as possible. Gyomei survives. Only after she's already been struck…She quietly says: "...Mr. Himejima..." And because Gyomei is such a compassionate character, his reaction could be incredibly moving. Rather than immediately shouting, I picture him realizing she's fallen, kneeling beside her, and saying something simple like: "...You protected me." For someone who carries so much responsibility, that realization would hit hard.
