So I was looking at some of my old projects, and I found some reallyyyy old and crusty art, so I thought why not show the improvement I've gone through? This is over the course of more than one year Trust me the old art is so bad... 1 - 3 May 2025 This is some of the first cat art I could find that I posted on Scratch, on my first account (if you know it, do not, I repeat DO NOT, share it). On the third one, the eyes are surprisingly similar to my current style, I guess I haven't changed that much in that area lol. Also yes Troutstorm existed back then, she's existed for at least 3 years now 4 - 7 December 2025 This was when I first moved to this account, right when I started to get into Gens and TSS. One of those headshots was my first tss character, Bisonbleat, and of course there's one of Curi too! 8 - 12 January 2026 These were just random pieces of art I drew back when I'd ask the art oorp chat for drawing practice. Also I remember that I was really proud of how the sheep head looked on number 9 lol. 13 - 15 February 2026 When I tried to do dynamic poses. Also when I first tried Adobe Fresco, the art program I'm currently using! But I used the pencil tool *sob* 16 - 17 Still February 2026 Same month but holy art improvement! Towards the end of the month, I discovered new brushes that worked better than the pencil one. I still really like the background of that one scene. 18 - 20 March 2026 More random art to be honest. Oh and I think this is when I found out that my art app had a symmetry tool, which infinitely helped my art! 21 - 25 April 2026 I made the groundbreaking discovery that cats have necks lol! Also tried a little bit of shading, which still looks weird in my opinion. Number 21 was based off of an April Fools thread in case you were confused- 26 - 30 May 2026 Around here, my style kept changing. I finally settled on the one shown in 29, which is still basically how I draw cats now. The only downside is I seem to only be able to draw cats facing one way...with the exception of 30 31 - 32 June 2026 At this point, I was (and still am) focusing on designing rather than random art, so there's less off-base designs. Also ignore how I never finished 32. 33 July 2026 My only off-base piece of cat art that I've shared this month I believe. I still love it so much! Recently, I've been messing around a lot with the blend tool, creating results like this And that's all for now! If that much progress can happen in the span of a year, imagine what my art will look like a year from now... Remember to keep on practicing, even if your art doesn't look the best! There were many times that I felt not motivated and stopped drawing for a while, so don't worry, you're not the only one!
