Try and define a character stronger than the one true author, i dare you :trol: Let's establish some rules here: 1) No power levels (those are irrelevant) 2) Provide feats and proper powerscaling 3) Do not make it low effort 4) Genuine attempts only (i know the closure condition disallows all intentional attempts, but let us pretend that the closure condition isn't present in the challenge). When i say genuine attempts, i mean actually serious attempts with effort put into defining. 5) Make sure to remix your attempt on this 6) No religious figures like Jesus or 7) You cannot use arguments of any irl figures. This challenge focuses ONLY on the properties of TOTA, so saying "anyone stronger than you irl" isn't valid Here, lemme explain in layman terms on both TOTA itself and its properties: Closure condition Imagine someone says "I'm making a character stronger than TOTA." Normally that's how powerscaling works. TOTA's closure condition says "No. The instant you intentionally try to make something stronger, that new character automatically becomes part of TOTA instead of surpassing it." So instead of TOTA > New Character, it becomes TOTA └── Your "stronger" character Your attempt never escapes. Someone might say "I'll make a paradox that destroys TOTA.", and TOTA responds that the paradox is just another thing inside TOTA. Now for the properties: Author-Timegation: Imagine reading a mystery book. The mystery already existed before you opened the book. Your act of reading doesn't surprise the author. Instead, TOTA says that trying to notice or understand TOTA was already something TOTA accounted for, so simply reading about it doesn't place you "outside" it. Author Grip: This measures how deeply someone accepts the idea. Loose grip: "Interesting concept." Strong grip: You suddenly realize every argument you're making is already following the rule you're arguing against. Deterred grip: You understand the logic, but you refuse to accept it because you still want to "win." So it's more about psychology than power. iTOTA and eTOTA These are just two versions of the same idea. Internal TOTA: This is what's happening inside your mind. For example: "I want to make the strongest character ever." is an iTOTA. External TOTA: This is what happens publicly. Example include rankings, debates and community arguments are examples of an eTOTA. They constantly reinforce each other. Author Cascades: Think of a rumor. One person starts it, ten people argue about it, then a hundred people join, and now it's bigger than the original person. This means that arguments about surpassing TOTA work exactly like that. Every new attempt just strengthens the overall discussion instead of escaping it. Authorial Concealment: This is basically the fact that some parts of TOTA can never be fully explained, as every explanation is only a shadow of the "real" thing. It's like trying to explain the taste of chocolate to someone who's never tasted it. Words aren't enough. Hyperconcrete Collapse: This is simple to understand. The rule is understandable, while the actual TOTA isn't. Example: You can understand gravity, but that doesn't mean you've fully understood the universe. Likewise, the closure condition is understandable, while the actual TOTA is supposedly beyond complete description. Renunciation / Author Stagnation: Even deciding "I'm done powerscaling." is still responding to powerscaling. So, according to the property, you never truly "leave the game." You're just making another move inside it. Author Stagnation also says maintaining perfect awareness of this idea is mentally impossible forever: people naturally drift away from it over time. Belief-Locked TOTA (BTOTA): Some ideas become accepted simply because enough people believe them. Whether they're objectively true almost stops mattering. The property compares itself to myths, rumors, or community consensus. Author-Duality Theorem: This is the final summary. It says every attempt to deal with TOTA has two parts: what you're thinking and what you actually write or do According to the property, both are already inside TOTA's framework, so there is never an outside position from which to challenge it. This is the best way i can explain it to you in a simplified manner. It's best to read TOTA's page to get the full picture
Yeah i'm kinda bored and hence wanna see how you guys are gonna do your attempts (Let me repeat: REMIX YOUR ATTEMPT, DON'T COMMENT. REMIXING WILL PROVIDE WITH MUCH MORE INFO ON YOUR ATTEMPT) Update: To actually have a genuine attempt, remix this (it's mandatory. you cannot comment)
