── ⋅ ── Blessings Guide Every cat born beneath the Four carries a blessing, a unique gift tied to the deity that watches over their clan. These abilities are a natural part of life in Eldritch, though no two blessings are ever *exactly* alike. While every clan draws from the same elements, each cat's gift is different, ranging from simple, practical abilities to rare and extraordinary powers. ── ⋅ ── Receiving Your Blessing *Roleplayers do not choose their blessing. To keep things fair and encourage creative roleplay, all blessings are assigned randomly by the host/CEO. This prevents certain abilities from becoming overused and ensures every clan has a balanced variety of gifts. If your character joins as a kit (either through a litter or your own signup), their blessing will remain unknown until their apprentice ceremony. While young kits may show tiny hints like unusual instincts or unexplained moments of magic, they will not know or be able to intentionally use their gift. When they reach 6 moons, the host will reveal your characters blessing to you. ── ⋅ ── Learning Your Blessing Receiving a blessing does not mean your character instantly knows how to use it. Like hunting, fighting, or climbing, a blessing is a skill that must be learned through practice. Most apprentices struggle to control their abilities at first, and mistakes are expected. Some powers may only work accidentally, while others may be weak or unreliable until properly trained. Mastering a blessing is considered part of an apprentice's education and should naturally develop through roleplay with mentors and training sessions. ── ⋅ ── Power & Balance Not every blessing is equally flashy and that's intentional. Many warriors possess simple, common gifts that help with everyday life, while only a small number are born with rarer or more demanding abilities. Every blessing has strengths, weaknesses, and limits. Powerful abilities often require greater concentration, more experience, or leave the user physically or mentally exhausted after repeated use. A rare blessing does not make a character stronger than everyone else. Clever use, training, and roleplay matter far more than the ability itself. ── ⋅ ── Groveclan Blessings granted by Sylora, guardian of earth, life, and growth. Blessings are revealed only at an apprentice's ceremony or when your adult character is accepted. Blessings should grow naturally through roleplay, no apprentice begins as a master. Not every blessing listed above is equally common. Simpler abilities are far more likely to appear than exceptionally powerful ones. Every blessing is a gift from the Four, but how your character chooses to use it is entirely their own. ── ⋅ ── If you ever have questions about your characters blessing or how it should function, don't hesitate to ask a member of staff! Likewise, if you have more ideas for blessings, feel free to reach out and it could be added to the growing list! ── ⋅ ──
