Full title: ✿ DBD Manager Applications (July–August 2026) ✿ If you just want to suggest users for the role of manager, please go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51808087/ ⚠️ Please read the full description before submitting your application! ⚠️ Welcome to Different By Design’s July–August 2026 manager applications! After discussing it, the current managers decided it was a good time to open applications again. Different By Design can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/37069320 If you're interested in helping our community grow, this is a great chance to get involved! Not sure if you should apply? Go for it! Applying never hurts, and applications help us decide who to promote. That said, we usually give priority to members who have been active in the studio for at least a few months, so if you're very new, you might not be selected this time. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ⚠️ Please submit your application as a project. You can either remix this project with your application or create a separate project and add it to this studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51808087/ ⚠️ We’ll look at more than just your application. Your activity, behaviour, and overall history in the studio will also play a big part in our decision, along with how well we think you’d fit the role. Just be yourself when applying! Honesty goes a long way — we're not looking for perfect people. We’d much rather see someone who knows both their strengths and their weaknesses. Please refrain from submitting a joke application, as it will be dismissed, and please don’t submit a past application. It would also be appreciated if users who are ban evading refrain from applying. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Here are a few things we look for in a manager: • Reliable and responsible people who can dedicate time to helping manage the studio. • Good communication skills, including working with other managers and enforcing the rules when needed. • The ability to stay calm, solve problems, and make sensible decisions under pressure. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Please answer the following in your application: • Please give us a short introduction, including how long you’ve been a member of the studio, your time zone, and your age or age range. • (Optional) Do you have any experience managing communities or similar roles? • Why do you want to become a manager for Different By Design? • What do you think being a manager would involve? • Why do you think you’d make a good manager? • Are there any downsides or weaknesses you think you’d have as a manager? • What are some ideas you have for improving the studio? • What is your availability and activity level (ideally on a scale from 1–10)? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Applications will stay open until August 5th, 2026 at 11:59pm IST (Irish Standard Time). After that, the current managers will review every application and get in touch with candidates to follow up. We’re excited to read your applications and welcome some new people to the managing team! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask in the comments, and a manager would be happy to answer.
