This screenshot shows my first ever Scratch account, @ArchAnimations. It used to go by a different name, but it got banned until I changed it a few years later or so. I actually spent more time on @Meisboy before creating this account. I remember being 8 years old and obsessed with video games. I fell in love with the idea of creating one of my own. I don't remember exactly how, but I eventually stumbled across Scratch and realized I could use it to make my own creations. After exploring other people's projects, however, I got more into animating funny little videos. I had a blast experimenting with the site, even if much of my time was spent generating slop. Scratch is important to me in part because it was my introduction to coding, but it was much more than that. It was a community where I could find people that shared my silly little interests. That meant a lot to me as a shy kid who lacked social skills for much of my life. I know I haven't been active on here in 3 years, and I certainly didn't spend 10 years straight making projects. Yet, I find myself thinking about Scratch every now and then. It's a nostalgic feeling to look back at my terrible old projects... and my slightly better ones, I suppose. To those that knew me during my time on here, I wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and doing well, although I'm obviously not the same kid you remember. I've graduated high school by now and I'm starting college in a month. I'm going to be super busy, but if Scratch has taught me anything, it's to be excited for new things. :) Thank you to anyone who read through this, as well as to those of you who made my time on Scratch memorable so far. I'll check back on this project periodically to see if anyone comments, so feel free to drop in and say hi! -Alex
