Hello, babygaagaa here!! I’m going to go on a bit of a tangent and explain what happened today and what it means for my future on Scratch. If you don’t feel like reading all this, I don’t blame you lol. Here’s a quick TLDR. Scratch has prohibited my access to the website, and because of that, I will likely be inactive, possibly indefinitely. If you’re still reading, I now assume you want the full story. Also, if you haven’t already, check the project on the left and left click to see related images for a bit more context. ___ Back in 2021, I made an account called “i_dont_even_know_bro.” I won’t go into everything I did on that account, but what matters is how it ended. I got banned for making an edgy joke toward another Scratcher. That one moment led to me creating multiple alternate accounts over time so I could keep posting games and animations. I’ll list all those identities at the end. After going through a lot of accounts, I remembered I had an older school account called “babygaagaa,” which is the one I’m using now. I went back to it to rejoin the community normally. That worked for a while, until today. Today, I found out I’ve been IP banned on my network. I won’t explain how I’m still posting this right now. If you know, you know. At first, I was confused. It’s been years since the original ban, so I didn’t understand why this would happen now. But after thinking about it, I put the pieces together. From Scratch’s perspective, the emails for “i_dont_even_know_bro” and “babygaagaa” look like two different people. “babygaagaa” uses my old school email and has no direct link to past violations. My guess is they issued an IP ban to make sure the original account could not return. Since an IP ban affects the whole network, it ended up blocking this account and my other active ones too. That’s why this feels strange. None of my current accounts have recent violations, so it seems like this might have been revisited recently. I’m not completely sure, so I plan to email Scratch support to ask about it. I’m posting this before I send that email, just in case it causes further action. At the same time, my life has gotten a lot busier outside of Scratch. Between that and everything in the past, this feels like a sign that it might be time for me to step away, not just because I have to, but also out of respect for the rules I broke years ago. ___ That’s everything. I’ll try to update this within about a week with whatever Scratch says. If I don’t update, that likely means things ended earlier than expected. Even if I do get a response and I’m somehow still able to use the platform, I’ll still be going inactive. I know this is one of those cliche “I’m leaving Scratch” posts, but I don’t really see a better way to say it. To me, this feels like a clear sign that my time here is over and that it’s time to move on. That might even mean leaving coding behind and just remembering this as a big part of my childhood. Here’s a list of all my identities over the years. Let me know if you recognize any. ACTIVE INACTIVE The date is July 18th, 2026. July 20th, 2026 UPDATE Scratch has replied too my email, asking me to provide a username. I gave them my usernames for my 3 active accounts, so that they can look further into this. This could result in a ban on my account, if so, then goodbye, and thank you too everyone who showed love too my projects over the years!
