[tw: contains blood, death, corpses, and angst] ladybugflight was on a hunting patrol, by herself of course. she was never a good hunter due to her eyesight, but was still able to bring food home. her main source was the thunder path. ladybug never told anyone because they'd say its dangerous. but what was dangerous was the monster she once called “mom” at least she still had ruby. she made her way to the thunder path, looking both ways before stepping on. she saw a blurry shape which looked like it was a BIG rabbit. ladybug licked her lips, this would feed a lot of clanmates. she happily trotted up to it, happy she found a good meal. until her vision became less blurry as she approached, and ladybug stopped in her tracks. it wasn’t a rabbit. wasn’t a squirrel. wasn’t a dog even. “…m-…mom…?” she stuttered, frozen in panic. ruby wasn’t breathing. she laid there, slumped on the black rocks, her side crushed and completely red. “no. no nono no nononononono NO!” ladybug screamed. she…she was the only one who was a mother to ladybug, and was the one who healed the clan. ladybug rushed over to her she raised her paw and hit her. now, ruby shouldve jolted up and shouldve started scolding her, but ruby lay completely still. completely silent. completely gone. ladybug got flashbacks to foxpaw, oh, poor foxpaw. but this… was worse. ruby…was gone. her mother. the one she trusted. why…? why let this happen…? ladybug carefully dragged rubyshine off the thunderpath so another monster wouldn’t hit her. she…was…gone… “…im sorry mom…” [erp]
