The first chapter was posted August 25 2025, a tidy end if I say so myself! !!! iirc the climax is chapter ummmm 30 ITS THE MOMENT YOUVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR and then it ended because Oliver has some stuff he needs to work on. I had this scene planned FROM THE SECOND OLIVER AND ASH MET so I’m glad I finally finished it I just realized that I don’t like writing scenes with Oliver and ash. I’m not sure exactly what it is, maybe i find it hard, or maybe this just isn’t the type of dynamic I’m good at writing? Lyra wants to go to the dance, but she doesn’t have a date, and doesn’t want one. She’s not allowed into the dance without one. Oliver wants to ask someone- but he’s a guy, so he can’t. And the other person is a guy. He can’t do it, it isn’t “guys ask guys” is it? They rebel against the rules, and a plot line ensues.
