WASD and K,L / arrow keys and Z,X Editor with E
Alright, I've gotten the engine behind the game mostly set up now; there's still a lot of stuff to do before we'll be done, but the framework is there. I have to say that using a tile-based engine has been doing wonders for the game's rate of progress. Even the advanced editor in SCL Aab is still a pain to work with. Tiles are just so much more bang for their buck. I think going forward, DBs are still not going to be frequent, far from it. Doing semi-weekly DB for the SCL games proved to be a rather depressive way to make a game. Hence why I've been on the low for a while now. Plus, when the final game did come out (or, more likely, get canceled) it made it not a big deal. Now, while Dizzbun will start bouncing off the walls for our favorite Triceratops, I have to admit that I'm a bit scared of the "making a world" part of this gig. By now, I'm sure that I've proven to you all that storytelling, world-building, and character writing aren't my bread and butter the same way Programing and game design are. So, with that in mind, I may round up some other folks to do that for me, but time will tell, I suppose. Anyway, I'm going to go back into hiding for like another 2 months, and then maybe there'll be another update on the game's progress.
