becoming a huge anime addict these past couple of weeks so i have some recs!! They all have mangas too btw 1.Frieren: beyond journeys end Tws: gore, violence, not really romance but implied, weapons This one is really good! It’s pretty popular too. It’s about this elf (elf’s have almost infinite lifespans) who defeats the Demon King with a party of heroes. 90 years later, she decides to go on another journey and reflects on the previous one. Amazing quirky and fun characters, and great messages throughout the series. 2. Witch hat atelier Tws: gore, violence This one is also pretty popular! It’s about a girl names coco who wants to be a witch and, in a tragedy, discovers that you don’t need to be born with magic. So she becomes an apprentice. It is much better than it sounds but i can’t give away the good part bc spoilers for first episode. The best part about this one imo is the worldbuilding. Amazing magic system oh my soggy bagels! The world is very interesting too! 3. Link Click Tws: violence, murder, severe travma, child kidnnapping, themes of dl scotting This one is a Chinese series. It’s about two boys who can enter pictures and become a person in the picture, so they take clients and enter their pictures. For example, a person wants to know some classified information that only the CEO of a company has, so the mcs enter a picture with the ceo’s assistant in it so they can peek at the information. It’s not a canon yawie, since it’s china, but they devs really do everything they can to heavily imply it lmao. Atp the only thing they’re not doing is straight up announcing it. 4. Assassination classroom Tws: violence, gvns, gore, murder, uhh scary stuff sometimes, um s3xualized imagery OH MY VOID MY FAVORITE ANIME EVER THS ONE IS SO GOOD PLS WATCH It’s about this classroom of outcast, failure children (they’re in ninth grade) and this random nonhuman supercreature alien thing with tentacles decides to teach them, but the government wants to kill said super creature, so the kids are tasked with killing it. The twist is that the supercreature actually wants them to learn and is a good teacher, and also teaches them about killing him. It’s hard to describe until you watch it. Trust. You’ll like it. 5. Secrets of the Silent witch Tws: the manga as a few more tws, but for the anime, almost none. Actually there are some swords. Oh and there is public execution (burning at the stake) in like one scene This one is about a socially awkward little bean named Monica. Mages have to chant to use magic but she is too scared in front of people to chant, so she develops unchanted magecraft, and she is the only one able to do that. So she is one of the Seven, the most powerful witches. She is tasked with undercover-ing into a school to protect the prince, who goes there. She’s not very good at it though, since she basically freezes up whenever she tries to talk to someone. Great storyline and characters, and the art style is absolutely peak!!!
Okay yay
