I'm completely restarting PAW from the beginning. I've always known what I want the story to do but I decided this time I'm going to start it sooner, get into the action quicker. I hate my art but I hate my old art even more lol when I look at the first chapter I literally want to scream at the fact people had to humour me and say it was good lol- And some didn't. I appreciate it wasn't the best but you could have at least tried to be nice. And now that I'm saying it wasn't good... You still can't be rude. I don't know how some people are rude without any feelings of guilt whatsoever. The art wasnt good because I was doing it on scratch bitmap on my computer lol. Now, I have a stylus and ibispaint X on my phone. Also I can now add backgrounds because I can add layers, a feature that they don't have in scratch. The chapters took freaking decades to come out because I was doing it on my PC. Not sure how many of you know this, but I suffer with constant pain that means I can't really be sat up at my desk on my PC drawing that often, but now I can "work" from bed :) Theres a particular event we didnt get to in the OG yet that I think should have happened sooner, it adds a lot of theory material/better character development etc. I'll probably post a new chapter every week once I've learnt how fast I can make them, and I've got several chapters finished. Another reason I'm restarting is because I don't like the character designs, and its hard for me to just change it mid way lol. Theres a few projects I'm posting on the first day of autumn (fall) maybe chapter one can be in there?? I'm not sure if I'm unsharing the old chapters or not. I most likely will. Please ask questions in the comments :) Also expect sneakeh peakehs edit the day after sharing: I also decided I wanted certain things to play a bigger part and other ones to be smaller. Something I'm gonna struggle with is balancing Sootystream and Stormheart BECAUSE I LOVE THEM and I cant remove them lol but also its focusing more on other characters now. edit several days later lol: One of the big parts of the story wasn't so big before and it also.... Was for a different reason I suppose you could say. And it had a different outcome? The story has always meant to be based on my own experiences and it was hard to continue when it felt it wasn't very close to what it was based on if that makes sense. It was self expression but not... Enough. Writing, whether its books, songs, poetry or just making up stories has always been therapy to me, and it helps the closer it is to myself and if whatever it is I'm struggling with also gets resolved in the story. (If that didn't make sense, I usually will make my main character suffer with like idk, depression or panic attacks etc, whatever I am at the time, and it makes me feel better watching them get over it lol even if I cant) update on 07/08/2026 - two things, firstly I might be posting it in the new year now, like the first of janurary or smth, as I doubt I'll be ready in a months time and janurary seems like a good time to start :) also I cant remember if I already said lol but its going to SEEM like a totally different story, just because we still hadnt quite got to what is now the main story of it, but it was always intended somewhat this way. I'll explain a lot more when I start posting it, as to what it were going to be like originally and what it is now :)
