Chapter 1 Icewing lay down at the moonpool as her granddaughter lay beside her. 'I wonder why they didn't come to me tonight' as far as she knew Starclan had disapproved of her thus not sending her a vision nor giving her nine lives, she wondered if they had given a vision to Frostdawn , hoping that she finally knew who it was ment to be if not herself, with a sigh she got up and headed to the exit of stone path caved with pawsteps of cat who lived at the lake before the though now long gone after a hefty amount of time Icewing decided to check up on the young she-cat. To her horror when she came over next to her it looked like she wasn't breathing internal shock flooded through her body. 'Is she dead?' she thought hoping it was not true. As she pressed her paw against Frostdawn's flank the grey she-cat awoke suddenly. "Did you get your nine lives?" She sounded desperate with a dint of hope in her eyes. "No, Starclan didn't come to me sweetie. I hope they gave you a vision on who is ment to be leader?" . "yeah.... Something like that" Icewing sensed the panicked tone in her voice something like some cat realising something that dawned them. She looked at her with scared eyes. " What was your vision about?" . " N-nothing" she told her as though not telling her the whole truth. Frostdawn scampered down the hill leaving Icewing with a sinking feeling in her chest telling herself something was not right and the medicine cat was hiding something.
