Arrow keys, WASD or Swipe and Tap to turn and jump, to avoid the holes in the Holy Cheese! The text at the top of the screen will tell you who played and how many seconds they lasted in the game. This is stored in a cloud variable. Your username will also be stored and displayed, until five other players have fallen after you did. All code by me (@kriblo), except the Joystick sprite, which was modified from this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/336408583/ Thank you @hugmyster! Music is a short loop of So So Ye by Jimi Bazzouka (original song by Amadou and Mariam). You should listen to the full song: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/pzrhbtrqzVk/ The jump sound is from the Scratch Library. The footsteps sound and the scream is from MineCraft (stepping on slime block & goat scream). Puns are open for community contribution. If you come up with a good one, let me know. Thank you @colinmacc, @Naoderi and @PutneyCat for contributing! Update 11th August 2021: I made it so you can't turn while jumping. Thank you @anguyen319, for the suggestion. As this made the game a little harder, I reset the highscore. Note about the code, for anyone who's interested: The Player and the Holes are drawn using the Pen extension, while the text is displayed using clones with costumes of the various letters. Animation of the Player is achieved using the sine of a counter variable. Collision of Player and Hole is detected by each Hole being a clone, which checks its distance to the Player each frame. See inside to learn more. #games #description(How far and how long can you run, and avoid the holes in the Holy Cheese!)
