Many argue that strength is not a true form of power. Squirrelstar disagrees. Strength, she says, is what gives you a place in Urchinclan. A place in the Arena. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ ........... "Strength is one of the most valued traits in Urchinclan. But it is not only gifted by the stars. It can be earned." ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ ........... What is the Arena? For those who don't already know, the Arena is the place where weekly battles, known as Arena battles, take place. The point of these battles is to prove yourself to Squirrelstar, the Dark Forest, and Urchinclan as a whole. Those who participate in Arena battles are viewed as the bravest and some of the most powerful cats in Urchinclan. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ ........... How does the Arena work? Each week, an Arena battle takes place. Your cat can sign up to participate, and will be paired with another cat that has similiar stats. Sign ups are first come first serve most of the time. Battles will most likely occur on the weekend, and are hosted by Squirrelstar as a big event. A cat who participates in multiple Arena battles, whether you win or lose, automatically become a Gladiator. This can play a role in later becoming an Elite as well. Gladiators have priority over non-Gladiators for sign ups, and are respected amongst the clan. More information can be found here: wip ok? Non-Urchinclan cats can participate in an Arena battle to join Urchinclan, since it is seen as proving yourself. However, you must win. Participation is also a form of punishment for non-Urchinclan cats and Urchinclan cats alike. Non-Urchinclan cats who are being kept in Urchinclan camp can fight in an Arena battle and win to leave Urchinclan early and return to their home, or stay whatever time they are being kept. A non-Urchinclan cat can also take part in a battle to receive permission to be on Urchinclan territory. Any form of sabotage to Urchinclan will get this reward revoked. Cats who are being punished through Arena battles must fight an Elite, or respected Gladiator if there are no Elites. Executions will be done against Squirrelstar. Apprentices can participate in the Arena. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ .............. ✶ ✶ ✶ ........... Rewards. Victors of each Arena battle shall receive a necklace of stingray barbs during that moon's ceremonies, as well as a piece of art with your cat wearing them (or not).
